For each module, there were keynote speakers and special sessions. About 200 professors, researchers and students participated as a listener in the special session.

During the seminar and training (special sessions) panelists and speakers deliver the knowledge dividing into 4 modules:

Module 1: Transformation of ICT education and skill development. The module focuses on the discussions of the top universities’ experience on the transformation of ICT education and skills development. Different case studies will be considered on experience of foreign partner universities and countries, which has successful implementation of digital economy and digital society.

Module 2: Role of knowledge economy for developing societies. The module addresses the following aspects of the knowledge economy by enabling discussions and roundtables: While much has been accomplished in efforts to promote ICT for development and expand the knowledge intensity of the economy in the country, much more needs to be done. At the core of the reforms is the growing understanding that expansion of the Knowledge Economy is a conceptual and programmatic "bridge" between stakeholders’ overarching objectives: fostering sustainable economic growth and reducing poverty while promoting equity. Specifically, access to information and knowledge are crucial to increased productivity and competitiveness, which, in turn, are essential to achieve the rates of economic growth needed to generate the resources to address social problems. Similarly, enhancing the capacity of individuals to access information and knowledge is at the core of human development.

Module 3: Management of emerging technologies and the move to digital economy. The module provides a stage for the specialists on the knowledge sharing on the following aspects: Global technology management in the Digital Economy provides comprehensive coverage and definitions of the most important issues, concepts, trends and technologies in the field of the emerging sub-discipline of global information technology management, covering topics such as the technical platform for global information system applications, information systems projects spanning cultures, managing information technology in multi-domestic/international/global/transnational corporations, and global information technology systems and socioeconomic development in developing countries. The module covers the ways of university involvement in the above matters of the technology management.

Module 4: Adoption of knowledge management in higher education. In the 4th module following aspects of the knowledge management in universities will be discussed: knowledge management is a systematic process by which knowledge needed for an organization to succeed is created, captured, shared and leveraged. Nowadays, the pace of evolution has entered a rapid speed, and those who can’t learn, adapt, and change from moment to moment simply won’t survive. Current higher education institutes recognize their valuable intelligences and have adopted their changing role in a society. Accordingly, there is the need for the enhancing the role of knowledge management in the higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.
